When I was little I used to love going house to house getting the crap scared out of me by dead people jumping out of chairs, Now that I am older and I realize what it is all about I dont celebrate it. This is my reason why.

Halloween comes from an ancient festival known as Celtic Festival, also known as Samhain. For one thing its of pegan origin. Also the ancient Gaels believed that on October 31st  the boundary between the living and the dead perished and the dead became dangerous to the living by causing problems such as sickness. They wore masks to mimic the evil spirits. In my opinion the celebration of Halloween is evil. Some people take it as HEY LETS GO GET CANDY! I guess if your not celebrating it for what it really is..( The boundary perishing)…Then its not a big deal.

I also heard that back in ancient times they wore masks to trick the evil spirits. They thought if they looked like the evil then the evil would not know the difference so they would not get hurt.

This is my reasoning for not celebrating Halloween. ♥
